ACEVEDO, Finance Director <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Equipment to Provide Date: February 22, 1993 <br />Telephone Line Safety from Electric Substations Having <br />Telephone Service to KGP T 1_communications ;n the amount <br />of $11,712.65 <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Electric Department has a requirement to insolate all communication <br />lines in high voltage substations, to prevent high voltage from entering <br />the communication equipment and damaging the system. <br />On February 9, 1993, General Services advertised for sealed bids for <br />this requirement. Bid opening was held at 2:30 p.m., February 22, 1993, <br />in the General Services office, <br />DISCUSSION <br />One bid was received from KGP Telecommunications.
