E <br />BACKGROUND: <br />At the City Council meeting of February 16, 1993, Council set the Public H ri N <br />ea ng, for the <br />prioritization of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project proposals, to this <br />meeting. Colton will be allocated approximately $170,000 to $180,000 in CDBG funds from <br />the San Bernardino County Department of Economic and Community Development D <br />(ECD), per Colton's Cooperating Cities Agreement with the County. Of the total amount, <br />a minimum of 10% of the allocation ($18,000.00) must be witheld for Contingency funds, <br />leaving $162,000 (maximum) for the City to budget for the 1993-1994 Fiscal Year. <br />The following list of projects A <br />o�ects have been reviewed and approved, by ECD, as ele�gible for <br />CDBG funding. The County has also reminded us that no more than 15% of our allocation <br />may be used for Social Service programs.
