ACEVEDO, Finance Director <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Various Sizes of Wood Date: March 9, 1993 <br />Poles for the Electric Department to <br />J. H. Baxter in the Amount of $11.527.85 <br />BACKGROUND <br />Wood Poles are carried in the Electric Stores inventory for use as <br />required by the Electric Department. When the inventory reaches a <br />predetermined review point or the City's Electrical Engineer has a <br />requirement for these items, the Storekeeper submits a requisition <br />to reorder them. <br />DISCUSSION <br />On February 23, 1993, General Services advertised for sealed bids for <br />this requirement. Bid opening was held at 3:00 p.m., March 9, 1993, <br />in the General Services office. Three bids were received and evalu- <br />ated. A Bid Analysis is attached for your review. The recommended <br />vendor's price is underlined. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that bid award be made to J. H.
