08-SBd-215-2.4/2.9 <br />08204 - 310311 <br />At Washington Street IC <br />District Agreement No. 8-689, A/1 <br />AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT <br />This AGREEMENT, entered into on ^ ' , is <br />between the STATE OF CALIFORNIA, acting by and through its <br />Department of Transportation, referred to herein as STATE, and <br />CITY of COLTON, a body politic and <br />a municipal corporation of the <br />State of California, referred to <br />herein as CITY. <br />0823'7 <br />RECITALS <br />(1) The parties hereto entered into an Agreement (Document No. <br />8237), on June 2, 1992, said Agreement defining the terms <br />and conditions of a project to modify the overcrossing <br />structure to accommodate five lanes of traffic by <br />constructing a cantilevered pedestrian sidewalk; improving <br />entrance and exit ramps; signalization of the northbound <br />exit ramp at Mt. Vernon Avenue; modifying signals at ramp <br />terminals; and installing a 14" water line on State Route <br />215 at the Washington Street Interchange, referred to herein <br />as "PROJECT". <br />(2) Said Agreement sets STATE's total PROJECT obligation at <br />$13,000.00, and it has been determined that STATE's total <br />PROJECT obligation will exceed that amount due to higher bid <br />costs and improvements that were not identified in the <br />original contract. Said improvements consist of <br />constructing a metal beam guard rail at the intersection of <br />northbound exit ramp/Mt. Vernon Avenue (East), and <br />08237 installation of additional detector loop cables, and STATE <br />shall bear all expenses thereof. <br />IT IS THEREFORE MUTUALLY AGREED: <br />(1) STATE's total obligation specified in Section II, Article <br />(4) of the original Agreement shall now not exceed the <br />amount of $31,060.00. <br />1 <br />
