Lavin, Water Utilities Manager <br />SUBJECT: Date: <br />Approval of Amendment to the Sewer Rate <br />Resolution Rescinding the Senior Citizen Sewer Rate <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The City of Colton has applied for, and received a State Revolving Fund (SRF) low <br />interest loan for the construction of the RIX full-scale tertiary treatment facility. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />As a part of the conditions of the SRF low interest loan, the City may not offer a <br />senior citizen's sewer rate. Therefore, the current Wastewater Rates Resolution <br />No. R-34-93 must be amended to rescind the senior citizen's sewer rate. <br />The Utilities Commission approved the amendment to the Resolution at their March <br />14, 1994 meeting. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />Staff recommends that Council adopt the attached Resolution amending Resolution <br />No. R-34-93 rescinding the senior citizen's sewer rate. <br />LJ/I j <br />CITY MANAGER'S CONCURRENCE: <br />Attachments: <br />Page 1 of_—_ — / 3 <br />Item No. <br />
