CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of April 19, 1994 <br />• , • • �,' � �1�.� �' ..,.._�:. • <br />FROM: <br />Community Dev�lopment D�ctor <br />SUBJECT: Approval of CDBG Delegate Agency Agreement with the DATE: 4/1 1/94 <br />County of San Bernardino Department of Economic and <br />Community Development (ECD) for the Period of <br />July 1, 1994 to June 30, 1997 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On June 29, 1993, the City of Colton approved, and entered into, a"Cooperation Agreement <br />f or Communi ty Deve lopment B loc k Grant Funds" with the County of San Bernardino Department <br />of Economic and Community Development (ECD), covering Fiscal Years 1994-95, 1995-96 and <br />1996-97. The Delegate Agency Agreement is a subordinate and supplementary agreement, per <br />Section 12 of said Cooperation Agreement. Similar to the existing Delegate Agency Agreement, <br />which will expire on June 30, 1994, the new agreement, and its attachments, set forth the <br />procedures which the City and County are required to follow in the implementation of <br />Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funded activities. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS• <br />The County ECD Department has provided six (6) copies of the Delegate Agency Agreement <br />with attachments which are required to be approved by the City Council and Executed by the <br />Mayor. The new agreement enables the City to directly implement CDBG funded activities. <br />It will become effective from July 1, 1994 to June 30, 1997. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />The Delegate Agency Agreement is required, by the County of San Bernardino, in order for the <br />City to receive CDBG Funds for the next three Fiscal Years (1994-97). The City is scheduled <br />to receive $345,000 in CDBG funds for Fiscal Year 1994-95. <br />Page 1 of 2 Item No. � <br />
