YOUNG <br />City Manager <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Marbelite Streetlight Standards for the Electric Department to Union Metal <br />Corp. in the Amount of $18,856.25 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Streetlight standards are purchased into Electric Stores for use by the Electric Department on an "as required" <br />basis. Quantities purchased are based on history of prior use and requirements determined by the City's <br />Electrical Engineer, <br />On December 2, 1993, General Services advertised for sealed bids for some of these requirements. Bid <br />opening was held at 3:30 p.m., December 20, 1993, in the General Services office. One bid was received <br />from Union Metal Corporation. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />No financial impact. These items are budgeted in routine maintenance accounts for the Electric Department. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the award of this bid to Union Metal Corp. in the amount of $18,856.25. <br />Report Prepared by: Mary J.
