La Cadena Drive <br />Colton, California 92324-2897 <br />Re: Proposed construction and Trackage Rearrangement at Laurel Street, Crossing No. <br />2121-2.1 and Olive Street, Crossing No. 26-2.4, City of Colton. <br />Dear Mr. Hutton: <br />Santa Fe is ready to proceed with construction at the above mentioned crossings as indicated <br />in our City Application letter of October 14, 1993, with project prints. <br />Please consider this letter as: a request to place subject projects on the next City Council <br />agenda for their approval as follows: <br />LAUREL STREET: <br />Full street closure from February 10, to February 22, 1994,.to accommodate realignment and <br />track rehabilitation of three (3) existing tracks, including.track construction of three (3) tracks <br />with installation of rubber crossing material on all six (6) tracks. <br />OLIVE STREET <br />Full street closure from January 31, to February 8, 1994, to accommodate realignment and <br />track rehabilitation of three (3) existing tracks with the installation of rubber crossing material <br />on all three (3) tracks. <br />Santa Fe is requesting that the City consider providing us with a marked up street map <br />indicating your preferred traffic detour route for each crossing, as the City is most familiar with peak <br />ADT hours at each street allowing faster vehicular traffic movement, which would also provide less <br />impact to emergency vehicles. <br />Santa Fe will barricade each side of project crossings with constant flasher light barricades and <br />required signing, in compliance with the, City requests and the manual on Uniform Traffic Control <br />Devices. <br />In order to expedite- our projects, please also consider this letter as a request to temporarily <br />close Olive and Laurel Streets -as follows:.. . <br />A Santa Fe Pacific Company <br />
