HUTTON <br />Public Works Director <br />RECONIl�SENDATION FOR SELECTION OF CONTRACTOR FOR THE <br />RANCHO AVENUE SIGNAL INTERCONNECT <br />As one of the City of Coltons Capital Improvement Proj ect Goals, the <br />Rancho Avenue Signal Interconnect was designed and initiated.This <br />project consists of removing existing traffic controllers and <br />cabinets, the installation of model 170 local controllers and field <br />master; along with interface units and interconnect cabling between <br />these units. <br />Traffic signal work is to be performed at the following locations; <br />Rancho Avenue and Valley Blvd <br />Rancho Avenue and "C" Street <br />Traffic Signal work is to be performed at he following locations in <br />Caltrans right of way; <br />Rancho Avenue and I-10 westbound off ramp <br />Rancho Avenue and I-10 eastbound off ramp <br />The project bids were formally opened by Staff on April 26, 1994, <br />the results of the bids are as follows; <br />. _ . <br />Paul Gardner Corp <br />Steiny & Company <br />Cit� <br />Ontario <br />Fullerton <br />$54,749.00 <br />$58,007.50 <br />The apparent low bidder being Steiny & Co.Inc., in the amount of <br />$58,007.50,. .. <br />Our investigation indicated that the bidder is a reputable <br />contractor. The bid packages has been reveiwed by both Caltrans <br />staff and City Engineer and found to be satisfactory. <br />Item No. 10 <br />
