1 <br />2 RESOLUTION R -27-94 <br />3 <br />4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON RE-ESTABLISHING THE HOUSING ADVISORY <br />5 APPEALS BOARD AND RE -NAMING IT THE CODE <br />6 ENFORCEMENT AND HOUSING ADVISORY APPEALS <br />BOARD <br />7 <br />8 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES RESOLVE AS <br />9 FOLLOWS: <br />10 <br />WHEREAS, the City <br />11 Council by Resolution No. R-05-92 which was passed, adopted <br />12 and approved on January 7, 1992 disbanded the Housing Advisory Appeals Board that had <br />1 13 previously been established pursuant to the Uniform Housing Code previously adopted by the <br />14 City Council; and <br />t <br />15 WHEREAS, over the years since the disbanding of the HousingAdvisory Appeals s <br />Board <br />16 it has become apparent that an independent board authorized to review issues relating to <br />17 compliance with housing and zoning codes of the City of Colton is a valuable and necessary <br />component of an effective code enforcement effort on, behalf of the City; and <br />19 <br />20 WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interests of the- City <br />21 to re-establish the Housing Advisory Appeals Board and to re -name it to reflect its full autborit <br />Y <br />22 and operation. <br />23 <br />I: <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />24 <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />25 <br />l . The City Council by this Resolution re-establishes the Housing Advisory <br />26 <br />27 Appeals Board which shall consist of seven members appointed in accord with the provisions <br />28 of Chapter 2.30 of the Colton Municipal Code. <br />P <br />i <br />
