CITY OF COLTON
AGENDA REPORT --='a V9
1887
4
For Council Meeting of March 15, 1994 l f °i
TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL DATE: March 8, 1994
FROM: JOHN HUTTON
Public Works Director
SUBJECT: ACCEPTANCE OF DEED FOR STREET DEDICATION PURPOSES -
JOHN REICHEL PM TRACT 14391
BACKGROUND
As a condition of development, a public road has been required on the south
side of Randall Avenue at the common property line of Tract 14391 (John
Reichel project) and Garcia Elementary School.
During the process of review, Community Development and Public Works
determined that the Randall Avenue outlet road of Tract 14391 would create a
hazardous condition in the event that a future railway underpass connecting
Randall Avenue east to Citrus Avenue. Thus necessitating a need to relocate
this street.
This tract 14391 is dedicating the easterly half of this street, while the
Rialto Unified School District will dedicate the westerly half of right-of-
way.
As required, applicant has submitted the street dedication document. This
document has been reviewed and meets the approval of the City Engineer - see
Attachment "A" for copy of document.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council accept this street dedication and
authorize the City Clerk to execute the recording of the document.
City Manager's Concurrence:
Report prepared by James King
B:PM1431AG
