POLICY <br />1. The City of Colton shall endeavor to provide municipal <br />services to its non -English-speaking residents, and to others <br />as required by law. <br />2. Each department head shall be responsible for providing <br />written translation of necessary departmental policies and <br />procedures into the languages) which the non -English-speaking <br />community commonly uses in order to facilitate their dealings <br />with that department. Such procedures shall be made available <br />to the public upon their request. <br />3. All job descriptions for positions where bilingual abilities <br />in Spanish are desirable shall be amended to state under <br />"Minimum Standards thatbilin <br />l ability in <br />highly desirable. 11 This statement shalll be added Spanish is <br />next recruitment for that classification.
