PRINDEVILLE <br />Interim Personnel Director <br />SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF UP TO SIX MONTH EXTENSION OF THE PROVISIONAL <br />APPOINTMENT FOR CECILIA HERNANDEZ COMMUNITY RELATIONS <br />COORDINATOR <br />BACKGROUND <br />Personnel Rule IX, Section 6, states, "The City Council may, by a four-fifths vote, extend beyond six months, <br />the period for provisional appointment. " The City Manager has requested that Council extend the provisional <br />appointment of Cecilia Hernandez, Community Relations Coordinator, for six months until the hiring freeze <br />is lifted and a regular appointment can be made to fill the position. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />It is staff's recommendation that the City Council approve an extension of the provisional appointment for <br />Cecilia Hernandez, Community Relations Coordinator, for up to six months. <br />Concur hl <br />City Manager <br />B 12: AGNPRVCH <br />t/liw *-45 <br />
