CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT 1887 <br />l f of <br />For Council Meeting of November 15, 1994 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL DATE: November 8, 1994 <br />FROM: PAULA CHAMBERLAIN � <br />Finance Director <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid for Conductor Cable for the New Transmission Line to WESCO Utility in the <br />Amount of $40,094.00. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Electric Department is in the process of purchasing materials to install a new transmission line. They have <br />a requirement to purchase 22,500 feet of 1272 ACSR Conductor for this line. On October 17 & 249 19941 <br />General Service advertised for bids for this requirement. Bid opening was held at 2:30 p.m., November 1, <br />1994, in the Corporate Yard Conference Room. Four bids were received and evaluated by the City's Principal <br />Electrical Engineer and our consultant from the firm of Black & Veatch. <br />Attached is a Bid Analysis showing price and delivery for each bidder. The recommended vendor's price is <br />underlined. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />This project is being funded by bond sale revenue. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends bid award to the low bidder, WESCO Utility, in the amount of $40,094.00. <br />Report Prepared by: Mary J.
