Notice Inviting Bids <br />City of Colton <br />Veteran's Park Improvements <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the General Services Manager, on behalf of and <br />as authorized by the CITY OF COLTON, State of California, will open sealed bids <br />at the hour of 2:00 P.M., November 28, 1994, in the City Council Chambers, <br />City Hall, 650 North La Cadena Drive. Said bids will be opened at said time and <br />the results will thereafter be referred to the City Council for consideration at <br />their next regular meeting. <br />Mailed bids should be addressed as follows: <br />City of Colton <br />General Services <br />650 N. La Cadena Drive <br />Colton, CA. 92324 <br />Re: Bid -City of Colton Veteran's Park Improvements <br />PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />All of the above work is to be done under contract in accordance with those <br />certain plans, specifications and drawings. <br />PROPOSALS <br />Proposals must be submitted on the blank forms prepared and furnished for the <br />purpose and which may be obtained at the City Hall Reception Station. At said <br />office, bidders must obtain copies of the plans, profiles, and specifications for the <br />contemplated improvement. <br />BONDS <br />The Contractor will be required to furnish with the executed contract, a Faithful <br />Performance Bond in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the <br />aggregate amount of the bid, and a Labor and Material Bond in the amount of <br />One Hundred Percent (100%). The Contractor will also furnish certificates of <br />insurance evidencing that all insurance coverage has been secured as required by <br />the specifications. Pursuant to provisions of Section 4500 of the California <br />Government Code, the Contractor may substitute securities for any monies <br />withheld by the Owner to ensure performance of the work. Such securities shall <br />be deposited with the City or with a state or federally chartered bank as escrow <br />agent who shall pay such money to the Contractor upon satisfactory completion <br />of the contract. The Contractor shall be the beneficial owner of any securities <br />substituted for moneys withheld and shall receive interest thereon. Securities for <br />investment under this section shall include those listed in Government Code <br />Section 16430, bank or savings and loan certificates of deposit, interest-bearing <br />demand deposit accounts, standby letters of credit, or any other security <br />mutually agreed to by the Contractor and the City. <br />A-1 <br />
