CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of November 15, 1994 <br />To: Honorable Mayor and Council Date: November 9, 1994 <br />From: Randy Anstine, Recreation & Human Services Director <br />Subject: Consideration And Ratification Of Award Of Bid For The <br />Following Trade In The Construction of The Colton Community Center: <br />MATERIALS TESTING <br />BACKGROUND: <br />In accord with the Contract Management Agreement between the City and <br />Steward and Associates, (the " agreement" ), Steward and Associates with Rod <br />McDonald acting on behalf of Steward and Associates, (the " contract" and the <br />" project" manager) sent out Requests for Proposals for Materials Testing for the <br />Community Center project, with a deadline for submission of November 5, 19941 <br />at 5:00 p.m. <br />The Contract Manager has accepted proposals as indicated below and the City <br />must now consider and ratify award of the bids under the terms of the <br />Agreement. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />Eight proposals were received by the Project Manager for soils testing ranging <br />from a low of $16,615, to $48,625. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Funds are available in the Community Center project budget to fund the award of <br />a bid for materials testing. The lowest bid was in the amount of $16,615. <br />Item No. 8 <br />
