City Council Meeting of
November 15, 1994
Reprogramming of CDBG Funds
The Public Works Department has requested that the balance of funds be re-
programmed to the CDBG Project, "Street Improvements - "M," Congress and
Sixth." This project was funded in Fiscal Year 1991-92 in the amount of
$104,900. There are, however, insufficient funds to begin the construction of the
project. In order to start this activity, the project has been separated into two
phases. The additional $60,338 in CDBG funds will allow the project to begin
construction of Phase I. This project is located in South Colton and will greatly
benefit the residents of that community.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There is no financial impact to the City's general fund. Construction and
engineering costs are paid from federal funds through the CDBG Program.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council approve the reprogramming of $60,338
from the completed CDBG activity, "Street Improvements - Olive, Bordwell, La
Cadena and Mt. Vernon," to the project, "Street Improvements - "M", Congress
and Sixth."
DRZ/ALS/kd
CITY OF COLTON
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
2
