CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />For Council Meeting of October 401994. <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Robert A. Lavin, Water Utilities Manager 10-V <br />SUBJECT: Date: <br />FY94-95 Water Rate Increase <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On February 18, 1992 Council approved a five year water rate study. The rates <br />were set for FY91-92, FY92-93 and FY93-94, however, it was recommended that <br />the rates for the last two fiscal years not be set at that time. This enabled staff to <br />determine increases based upon the system's needs and the cost of operating for <br />each year. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />The proposed water rates must be set for public hearing, and said notice published <br />in the newspaper. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />The attached Ordinance reflects the absolute minimum necessary to enable the <br />Water Utility to meet the required needs with a balanced budget for FY94-95. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends setting the public hearing for the FY94-95 Water Rates for <br />October 18, 1994. <br />LJ/Ij <br />CITY MANAGER'S CONCURRENCE: <br />Attachments: <br />Pae 1 of___ _ ;L19 Item No. <br />
