R-115-94 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF COLTON APPROVING ALL <br />SEXUALITY CURRICULUM IN THE COLTON <br />JOINT UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT. <br />WHEREAS, parents, residents and students within the Colton Joint <br />Unified School District support an Abstinence Only (which is defined as <br />abstaining from all sexual activity until marriage) Curriculum for their <br />students; and, <br />WHEREAS, this Curriculum is age appropriate, accurate in it's <br />statistics and is a curriculum that emphasizes and allows strong Parental <br />Involvement, that does not violate parental rights and privacy, that stresses <br />abstaining from all sexual activity until marriage, not just maturity or until <br />the right partner is found; and, <br />WHEREAS, we believe this type of curriculum will help our society and <br />work to strengthen the concept of marriage, home, good moral values and a <br />true family life education, and which will aid in the prevention and spreading <br />of the AIDS virus, a major life threatening fatal illness; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Council believes the family is one of the strongest <br />stabilizing pillars in society and all attempts to attack and redefine the family <br />should be vigorously opposed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, hereby resolve to support and approve an <br />
