City of Colton <br />AGENDA REPORT (Continued) <br />For Council Meeting of September 6, 1994 <br />Subject: Authorization of Police Cadet Program <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The Department proposes an initial 18 month program for cadets working a maximum of 20 <br />hours per week and at this time we will re-evaluate the program. Cost for the program, including <br />mandated benefits is projected to be $34,383. The department would be willing to fund the <br />initial program through the use of asset seizure funds and no cost to the City. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Staff recommends that City Council authorize the establishment of a Police Cadet Program <br />within the Police Department. <br />Report Prepared by: R.
