AGENDA - COLTON CITY COUNCIL ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />JUNE 30, 1997 5:00 P.M. <br />MEETING CALLED TO ORDER: <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />ROLL CALL: <br />PROCEDURES FOR ADDRESSING CITY COUNCIL <br />For the Official Record, it is requested that you obtain a card from the City Clerk and complete it by noting a specific item <br />number on the Agenda, if applicable, or you can identify the subject that you wish to address under the Public Comment <br />portion of the Agenda. The City Council encourages public input on all City issues within the Rules of Decorum: <br />DECORUM AND ORDER <br />To help conduct the business of the City Council in an orderly fashion, the City Council has <br />adopted rules pertaining to Decorum and Order. The City Council will strictly enforce these <br />rules in order to allow full expression of ideas and opinions by citizens staff or legal counsel <br />:.. The rules are summarized below: <br />Unauthorized remarks from the audience, stamping of feet, whistling, clapping, yelling, and <br />similar demonstrations shall NOT be permitted by the Presiding Officer. Any disrupting <br />demonstrations shall be cause for the Chief of Police to clear the Council Chambers or to remove <br />individual offenders upon direction of the Presiding Officer. <br />Any person who orally attacks other individuals, groups, or City Officials, or otherwise becomes <br />boisterous while addressing the Council, or while attending the Council Meeting, shall be ruled <br />out of order by the Presiding Officer. If someone begins to make impertinent or slanderous <br />remarks, the Presiding Officer (or the City Manager or City Attorney at the direction of the <br />Presiding Officer) will instruct the person to follow the Council Rules. If the person does not <br />cease, the Presiding Officer will instruct the Chief of Police to remove the person from the <br />Council Chambers and bar him/her from further audience before the Council. <br />NOTICE TO PUBLIC <br />Staff reports or other written documentation relating to each item referred to, on the Agenda, are on file in the Office of <br />the City Clerk and are available for public inspection. <br />Any person having questions concerning any item on the Agenda may call the City Clerk at 370-5032, to make inquiry <br />concerning the nature of the item described on the Agenda. The City Clerk shall direct inquiries to the appropriate office. <br />All matters listed under CONSENT CALENDAR are considered by the City Council to be routine and will all be enacted <br />by one motion in the form listed below. There will be no separate discussion of these items prior to the time the City <br />Council votes on the motion to adopt unless Members of the Council, Staff or the Public request specific items be <br />discussed and/or removed from the CONSENT CALENDAR for separate action. <br />JUS; 3 0 1997 <br />
