The applicant will be required to comply with the Conditions of Approval instituted
by the Design Review Committee, as there will be changes to the existing condition of the
land, and conditions are established to mitigate neighborhood, access and aesthetic
concerns.
The proposed project is located in an area where several tracks are installed and in use. The
proposal is for the railroad to join two of those existing tracks. The proposal is considered to be consistent with the intent and guidelines of the
General Plan.
2. The proposed project is consistent with the Zoning Ordinance, provided the
applicant complies with the Conditions of Approval, which meet the developrr" '`
standards for this type of project.
3. The proposal is considered to be compatible with its surrounding uses.
4. The proposal will not have a significant effect on the environment and warrants a
Negative Declaration.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
None.
RECOMMENDATION:
Based on the above analysis, staff recommends approval of the project and Negative
Declaration, for File Index Number D-24-97, subject to the Conditions of Approval, and
adoption of the attached resolution.
Should City Council approve the filing of Negative Declaration for this project, the City of
Colton Public Works Department, Engineering Division, shall proceed with completing the
necessary documents and reports to be submitted to Council for final review and approval of
the Street Vacation request.
Report prepared by Lisa R.
