Please be advised that my current efforts are
focused on establishing methods of strengthening our sister city union throughout
the coming years.
The City of Colton has gracefully acknowledged the water fountain, jewelry set and
various textbooks that depict the historical culture of Rio Grande and Zacatecas,
Mexico. We shall treasure the water fountain for its cultural charm and
craftsmanship, but even more as a constant reminder of a valuable.friendship among
our cities. These items will be kept on display in the Office of the Mayor & Council
for the viewing pleasure of all our residents. These gifts will be cherished for many
years to come.
Understanding .that September 16th is your National Independence Celebration, we
hope we are able to accept. your invitation and visit Rio Grande. As the date
approaches, we will keepyou apprised of our plans.
Again, thank you and we look forward to hearing from :you as we initiate plans to
develop mutually beneficial:projects that foster Jnternational relations.
Respectfully yours,
Deirdre HAbnnett
Mayor
Ciry of Colton .
0141 adf
CC: Calton City Council Members
City Manager Daryl Parrish
