<br />City Manager Huffaker referred to a letter dated February 20, 1975, from Reverend Antonio S. Ortiz, requesting
<br />use of Fleming Park from June 22 to July 6, 1975, for religious crusad,s.:
<br />Mr. Huffaker recommended this matter be tabled for further study.
<br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes and passed, the request for use of Fleming Park was
<br />tabled.

<br />CETA Program
<br />City Manager Huffaker referred to a letter dated February 20, 1975, together with a Resolution, from Mr. Terry
<br />Goggin, Assemblyman, regarding School District Employment of unemployed teachers through the CETA Program.
<br />Mr. Huffaker advised that the City's CETA Program has gotten well underway, and he is doubtful that there are
<br />funds available now to accommodate such a request.
<br />Council consensus was that the letter and resolution from Mr. Terry Goggin be noted and filed.

<br />Weed Abatement
<br />Community Services Director Earl Young stated the annual weed abatement program will begin shortly.
<br />Mr. Young reuqested permission from the Council to advertise for bids, which will be scheduled for opening on
<br />April 2, 19 75 , and abatement by the contractor to begin May 1, 19 75 .
<br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, Council authorized Staff to advertise for bids on
<br />annual Weed Abatement Program. Motion passed.

<br />Alley Paving
<br />Mr. Young read from his memorandum dated February 26, 19 75 , regarding the alley paving between Olive and Acacia
<br />Streets, east of Pennsylvania Avenue, under the provisions of Chapter 27, District No. 16. Mr. Young advised
<br />there is 100% participation from the property owners abutting the alley.
<br />Mr. Young read the corrected resolution, from the one shown on the agenda, and asked that the resolution estab-
<br />lishing a hearing for the costs for April 1, 1975, be approved.
<br />Councilman Rehrer moved that the corrected Resolution No. 3501 be approved. Motion seconded by Councilman
<br />Gonzales and passed.

<br />Mr. Young read his memorandum dated February 28, 1975, which determines the wage scales regarding contracts
