POW <br />Approved this day of 1975. <br />Mayor <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING <br />April 10, 1975 <br />Y �✓/ Q . <br />HELENA. RAMOS <br />City C lerk <br />A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date in the Council <br />Chambers in the Civic Center, located at 650 North La Cadena Drive, Colton, California, at 5:00 p.m. , Mayor <br />Huntoon presiding. <br />Notice of Special Meeting was given on April 8 and 9, 19 75 , in compliance with Government Code Section 54956. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council members present were Hayes, Spragins, Rehrer, Gonzales, and Mayor Huntoon. Also present was City <br />Manager Huffaker, City Attorney Hutton, and Deputy City Clerk Veralrud . <br />Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. <br />City Manager Huffaker advised the reason for the Special Council Meeting this afternoon is to obtain final approval <br />from the City Council for the Housing and Community Development Act application, which must be submitted to HUD <br />prior to April 15, 1975. <br />Mr. Ed Haworth stated the City of Colton's application has been reviewed by SLAG, the indications are that they <br />are very pleased with the contents, the application is very good as far as meeting the community's needs, and <br />there are no foreseeable problems. Mr. Haworth said a letter has been received advising the application has al- <br />ready gone through the State Clearing House procedures. <br />Mr. Haworth concluded that funds for the City of Colton should be available by July. <br />Councilman Gonzales asked if any changes had been made in the application from the original one. <br />Mr. Haworth answered no, there have been no changes made, either at the local level or State level. <br />Mr. Haworth said Staff needs confirmation and final approval from the City Council so that the application can be <br />submitted to HUD prior to the April 15 deadline. <br />On motion of Councilman Gonzales, seconded by Councilman Hayes and unanimously passed, Council approved <br />the Housing and Community Development Act application as originally presented for submission to HUD prior to <br />April 15, 1975. <br />ADTOURNMENT : <br />There being no further business to come beofre the City Council at this time, Mayor Huntoon adjourned the meeting <br />at 5:10 p.m. <br />JANE M. Shaw of the Foursquare Church. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council members present were Hayes, Spragins , Rehrer, Gonzales, and Mayor Huntoon.
