Mr. de la Cerda stated he has supplied reports and schedules as well in advance as possible, however, there
is a great deal of work involved in preparing these reports, compiling data, completing forms, etc, and still
attempt to meet the required deadlines.
Mr. de la Cerda then reviewed his report in its entirety regarding eligible activities and cooperative intra -
commission planning process involving the Community Citizens' Advisory Commission, the Planning Commission,
the Recreation and Parks Commission, and ultimately, the City Council.
Mr. de la Cerda also reviewed a Task Schedule for the Community Development Program, beginning in November of
1976, through July of 1977, outlining a complete schedule for the present projects, and future proposals and
projects.
Mr. de la Cerda stated it would be very helpful if the Council would consider this Task Schedule for approval
and adoption at the next regular Council Meeting.
Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Gonzales, to consider for approval and adoption the Task
Schedule as submitted by the Community Development Coordinator, at the next regular Council Meeting, November
16, 1976. Vote was unanimous.
Councilman Gonzales suggested that copies of this Task Schedule be sent to the Planning Commission and the Recrea-
tion and Parks Commission.
Mrs. Bea Hernandez stated she is speaking on behalf of a member of .the Community Citizens' Advisory Commission who
could not be present this evening. Mrs. Hernandez said she would like to commend Mr. de la Cerda for the excellent
job he has done with these programs in the very short time that he has been with the City.
Mrs. Hernandez continued at one time the City was really dragging its feet, however, when Mr. de la Cerda took
over, he really got the ball rolling and got things done.
