Mayor Beltran thanked his fellow Council Members stating he is leaving the <br />Office of Mayor and the City Council with a heavy heart. Mayor Beltran <br />spoke about his past years as a Councilman and Mayor, the progress that has <br />taken place in the City of Colton, and the future development and growth of <br />the City. <br />Mayor Beltran concluded he will always be available to serve the people, and <br />expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude to everyone. <br />Oath of Office <br />City Clerk Ramos administered the Oath of Office to the newly elected <br />Mayor, Frank A. Gonzales, and the re-elected Council Members, Connie <br />Cisneros and James D. Hayes, issuing each one a Certificate of Election. <br />Mayor Gonzales then took the Chair and conducted the meeting. <br />City Council Comments <br />Councilman James Hayes thanked everyone for voting for him, and stated <br />he will continue to serve the City of Colton and its people to the best <br />of his ability. Councilman Hayes then introduced his wife and family <br />Q, to the audience. <br />Councilwoman Connie Cisneros introduced all members of her family to <br />the audience, stating this is a very happy occasion and a night that <br />she will long -remember. Councilwoman Cisneros thanked everyone for <br />their vote of confidence. <br />Q <br />Mayor Frank A. Gonzales introduced his wife and family to the audience <br />and thanked everyone for their vote. Mayor Gonzales stated with the <br />help of his fellow colleagues and the citizens of the community, he <br />will strive for the betterment and prosperity of Colton. <br />Mayor Gonzales said the City of Colton is growing and developing, both <br />residentially and commercially, and will continue to progress. Mayor <br />Gonzales concluded he looks forward to serving the City and its people <br />as Mayor, and will always be responsive and available for assistance. <br />Mayor Pro Tempore <br />Mayor Gonzales asked for nominations for Mayor Pro Tempore. <br />Councilman Hayes nominated Councilman Rehrer for Mayor Pro Tempore. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if there were any further nominations at this time. <br />Mayor Gonzales stated the nominations were then closed. <br />Councilman Rehrer was unanimously voted as Mayor Pro Tempore. <br />ADJOURNMFNT- <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes and unanimously <br />passed, Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 7:55 p. m. <br />le i <br />HELEN A.
