258 After much discussion Staff was asked't <br />to come back with a detailed report show- <br />ing the City's cost for maintenance and operation of the plant and a more detailed <br />report on the first year under the contracted out operation. <br />REFUSE COLLECTION <br />City Manager Calabrese reported the Utilities Commission recommends a study be <br />made of the equipment in this department, the administrative cost has increased due <br />Co the new and more equitable formula being applied and costed out to all enterprise <br />funds. Mr. Calabrese said whereas the Administrative Account cost shows an increase <br />in the Refuse Collection, the cost to the Electric Utility shows a decrease due to <br />the new formula and additionally, several accounts have been combined and are shown <br />under this account. <br />CFMFTFRY <br />City Manager stated one must remain flexible with the Cemetery Division because the <br />recommendations of the Cemetery Commission are just now coming about and the sales- <br />person has not yet come aboard. Mr. Calabrese reiterated the addition of $5,000 <br />for advertising purposes in the Special Department Expense. <br />BUDGET <br />Mayor Gonzales moved to approve the Enterprise Funds Annual Budget as presented. <br />Mayor Gonzales withdrew his motion. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros to approve the Annual <br />Enterprise Funds Budget as presented, with the exception of the Water Quality Con- <br />trol Fund pending further review. Motion carried unanimously. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />There being no further business to come before the City Council, on motion of Council- <br />woman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes and unanimously passed, Mayor Gonzales <br />adjourned the meeting at 9:00 p. m. <br />X . - <br />,- ;1 <br />HELEN A.
