238 Congressman Geor e E. Brown, 9 w Jr., addressed the Council Members, stating it was <br />a pleasure to attend the Council Meeting this evening, which was something he <br />did not normally do. Congressman Brown spoke about the similarity of our City <br />Council "taking care of business" in Colton to that of the role and responsibil- <br />ities of Congress in Washington, discussing such matters as budget sessions, the <br />pressures of Proposition 13, and various political issues. Congressman Brown con- <br />cluded if he can be of assistance in any way to the citizens of Colton, please let <br />him know. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Executive Session at 8:36 p. m., to discuss matters <br />of Personnel, and reconvened at 9:41 p. m., all Members present. <br />PPrcnnnal <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, approving extension of <br />Leave of Absence, without pay, for employee, James Hofland, to June 30, 1979. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Temby, authorizing the City <br />Manager to recruit for the position of Senior Engineering Aide.
