Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4030 - A RESOLUTION OF"THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON APPROVING <br />NEW POSITIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTIONS AS INCLUDED IN THE CITY'S PAY <br />AND CLASSIFICATION PLAN, RESOLUTION NO. 40113, EFFECTIVE JULY 1, <br />1980. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Conditional Use Permits <br />() P. No. 957 <br />M <br />0) Planning Director Trevino reported on a Conditional Use Permit application requested <br />by the Inland Christian Center Church to construct four offices and one classroom to <br />the existing church building on property located at 11500 South Mt. Vernon Avenue, in <br />an R -1-X zone. <br />a <br />Mr. Trevino advised that the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this <br />matter, August 12, 1980, and recommended approval of the Conditional Use Permit ap- <br />plication, subject to findings and two conditions, as listed in Planning Commission <br />Resolution No. 957. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve Planning <br />Commission Resolution No. 957, subject to findings and two conditions as listed <br />therein. Unanimous vote. <br />Variances <br />P. C. Res. No. 958 <br />Mr. Trevino read his memorandum dated August 19, 1980, relating to a Variance appli- <br />cation requested by A & K Development, Inc., to allow reductions of lot width and <br />area for a proposed project to develop 13 lots on approximately 32 acres located in <br />an R -E zone on property south of Barton Road and Cahuilla, west of Mohave, presently <br />unimproved, however, the land has previously been graded. <br />Mr. Trevino advised this project was previously approved by the Planning Commission <br />in 1976, however, the project was allowed to expire and thereby a new filing had to <br />be made. <br />Mr. Trevino stated the Planning Commission, at a public hearing held August 12, 1980, <br />approved the Variance application subject to findings as listed in Planning Commis- <br />sion Resolution No. 958. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve Planning <br />Commission Resolution No. 958 subject to findings as listed therein. Vote was <br />unanimous. <br />Planning Case Files <br />L.A.F.C. <br />Mr. Trevino referred to a letter dated July 2, 1980, from Mr. Gregg P. Kent, Presi- <br />dent of the Gregg P. Kent Corporation, requesting that the City of Colton consider <br />annexing approximately 334 acres of land within the sphere of influence of the City <br />of Loma Linda, located in the southeast portion of Colton and owned by Mr. Kent. Mr. <br />Trevino advised that Mr. Kent also owns approximately 177 acres of land in the City <br />of Colton located adjacent westerly of the aforementioned acreage. <br />Mr. Trevino continued that he and Mr. Kent have had discussions with the Planning <br />Director of the City of Loma Linda concerning possible annexation of this property <br />and have also met with Mr. Larry Hendon, of the Local Agency Formation Commission, <br />who has advised that the Colton City Council would have to request a sphere of influ- <br />ence study by the L.A.F.C. in the form of a letter and resolution. <br />AUG 19 mo <br />
