Swimming Pool <br />Director of Building and Safety John Twiss made a status report on the swimming <br />pool, advising that a list of items remain to be corrected or finished and have <br />not been totally completed at this time, and, therefore, he was not recommending <br />that a Notice of Completion on this job be filed until all items are complete to <br />the City's satisfaction. <br />Mr. Twiss stated that he would recommend, however, that payment in the amount of <br />$6,921 be made to Knorr Pool Systems, Inc., for equipment they furnished and in- <br />stalled, consisting of an automatic chemical treatment control system, which is <br />available under Account No. 57-9805-89, OCD Park Funding. <br />Councilwoman Cisneros stated that when this was initially presented to the City <br />Council, she had asked if this equipment was included, and the response was yes. <br />461 <br />City Attorney Edwards stated this was correct, and in listening to the tape of that <br />particular meeting, the piece of equipment that Councilwoman Cisneros had referred <br />to was an automatic chlorinator and a different type of equipment from that mentioned <br />this evening. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, approving payment in the <br />amount of $6,921 to Knorr Pool Systems, Inc., for furnishing and installing the <br />(y) automatic chemical treatment control system. Unanimous vote. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Ordinance No. 1588 <br />Q Second Reading <br />City Attorney Edwards introduced Ordinance No. 1588 for Second Reading, reading it <br />as to number and title only: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1588 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMEND - <br />Second Reading ING ORDINANCE NO. 1580 RELATING TO LOCK BOXES TO AFFORD FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT ACCESS TO BUILDINGS. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to pass Second Reading, <br />waive further reading and adopt Ordinance No. 1588. Unanimous vote. <br />ORAL COMMIINTCATTONc� <br />Mr. Jess Vasquez, 296 West F Street, Colton, read portions from a Columbia Law Re- <br />view, dated 1969, regarding noise pollution, and referred to federal legislation <br />and the Noise Control Act of 1972, stating there are many avenues that can be taken <br />with regard to controlling noise pollution and felt the Council Members should make <br />a more concerted effort towards solving the problems with the railroads in our City. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Executive Session at 8:15 p. m., to discuss Personnel <br />Matters and Litigation, and reconvened at 9:12 p. m., all Members present. <br />Arm nilRNMFNT <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer and unanimously passed, <br />Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 9:15 p. m. <br />HELEN A.
