358 PlanninCase Files <br />Residential Improvement <br />Mr. Trevino read his memorandum dated January 9, 1980, regarding a request from <br />Angelica Mendoza to build an addition to an existing residential structure located <br />at 260 West Congress Street, which will cost in excess of $5,000. <br />Mr. Trevino referred to Section 18.32.110 of the Colton Municipal Code, outlining <br />the procedure to be followed for such improvements or additions. Mr. Trevino ad- <br />vised the property is located in an M-1 zone,.however, the possibility of a rapid <br />transformation from residential to manufacturing uses in the area is unlikely. <br />Mr. Trevino concluded the Planning Commission reviewed this request at a meeting <br />held January 8, 1980, and recommend approval of the addition to the existing resi- <br />dential structure in excess of $5,000. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, approving request <br />of Angelica Mendoza for remodeling of residence located at 260 West Congress <br />Street in excess of $5,000. Unanimous vote. <br />COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Trart FilAc <br />City Manager Gonzales reqeusted Council's acceptance of Tract No. 10025, located <br />west of La Cadena Drive and east of Rosedale Avenue, between Palm and La Loma <br />Avenue, and release of the subdivision improvement bonds. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to accept Tract No. 10025 <br />and approve release of the subdivision improvement -bonds. Vote was unanimous. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Police Division <br />Res. No. 3969 <br />City Manager Gonzales referred to a letter dated December 17, 1979, from Attorney -- <br />General George Deukmejian concerning his statewide effort to restore public safe- <br />ty through a program entitled California Crime Watch, which is closely related <br />to the Colton Police Department's Crime Prevention Program. <br />Mr. Gonzales stated that Staff recommends approval of Resolution No. 3969, support- <br />ing this program. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve Resolution <br />No. 3969.
