4 7 4 <br />Personnel Officer Elliott stated the public hearing this evening concerns amending <br />the City's Personnel System Rules and Regulations, Resolution No. 2240, relating to <br />Holidays for Fire Personnel on a 24-hour shift schedule, as outlined in Resolution <br />No. 4040. Mr. Elliott advised that Staff has also provided a proposed Administra- <br />tive Policy setting out the procedures which will be followed for this benefit. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to terminate the Public <br />Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve Resolution <br />No. 4040. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4040 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, AMENDING <br />RESOLUTION NO. 22405 PERSONNEL SYSTEM RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR <br />THE CITY OF COLTON. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Variances <br />P. C. Res. No. 964 <br />Planning Director Trevino reported on a Variance application requested by Mrs. Evelyn <br />Ornelas, to allow reduction of the required side yard setback from five feet to approxi- <br />mately four feet for a proposed addition which will include a dining room, den, bed- <br />room, bath and patio, to an existing residence located at 1441 North 10th Street. <br />Mr. Trevino advised that the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this Variance <br />application, September 23, 1980, and recommended approval subject to findings and one <br />condition as outlined in Planning Commission Resolution No. 964. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve Planning <br />Commission Resolution No. 964. Unanimous vote. <br />Variances <br />P.C. Res. No. 965 <br />Mr. Trevino reviewed his memorandum dated September 25, 1980, regarding a Variance <br />application requested by Mr. Steve Torres, to reduce the required street side set- <br />back from ten feet to nine and one-half feet for the purpose of constructing a <br />carport and covered patio on property located at 587 West H Street, in an R-3 zone. <br />Mr. Trevino stated the Planning Commission, at a public hearing held September 23, <br />1980, recommended approval of the Variance application as outlined in Planning Com- <br />mission Resolution No. 965. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve Planning <br />Commission Resolution No. 965, together with findings as listed therein. Vote was <br />unanimous. <br />Variances <br />P.C. Res . No. 966 <br />Mr. Trevino read his memorandum dated September 24, 1980, concerning a Variance ap- <br />plication requested by Mr. & Mrs. Raymond Perez, for reduction of the required rear <br />yard setback from fifteen feet to ten feet for a new dwelling, 95 feet in width by <br />50 feet in depth, on property located at 415 West E Street, in an R-3 zone. <br />Mr. Trevino advised that the Planning Commission recommended approval of the Variance <br />application, at a public hearing held September 23, 1980, and adopted Planning Com- <br />mission Resolution No. 966. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve Planning Com- <br />mission Resolution No. 966, together with findings as listed therein. Unanimous vote. <br />COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Community Services <br />Director of Community Services Wang requested that the item concerning installation <br />of off-site improvements, curb, gutter and sidewalk along Congress Street, be removed <br />from the Agenda at this time. <br />Street Vacations <br />Mr. Wang reported on two proposed street vacations, one for Acacia Avenue, and the <br />other for Mt.
