4 7 4 Personnel Officer Elliott stated the public hearing this evening concerns amending the City's Personnel System Rules and Regulations, Resolution No. 2240, relating to Holidays for Fire Personnel on a 24-hour shift schedule, as outlined in Resolution No. 4040. Mr. Elliott advised that Staff has also provided a proposed Administra- tive Policy setting out the procedures which will be followed for this benefit. Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak on this matter. Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to terminate the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve Resolution No. 4040. Unanimous vote. RESOLUTION NO. 4040 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 22405 PERSONNEL SYSTEM RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE CITY OF COLTON. PLANNING COMMISSION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Variances P. C. Res. No. 964 Planning Director Trevino reported on a Variance application requested by Mrs. Evelyn Ornelas, to allow reduction of the required side yard setback from five feet to approxi- mately four feet for a proposed addition which will include a dining room, den, bed- room, bath and patio, to an existing residence located at 1441 North 10th Street. Mr. Trevino advised that the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this Variance application, September 23, 1980, and recommended approval subject to findings and one condition as outlined in Planning Commission Resolution No. 964. Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve Planning Commission Resolution No. 964. Unanimous vote. Variances P.C. Res. No. 965 Mr. Trevino reviewed his memorandum dated September 25, 1980, regarding a Variance application requested by Mr. Steve Torres, to reduce the required street side set- back from ten feet to nine and one-half feet for the purpose of constructing a carport and covered patio on property located at 587 West H Street, in an R-3 zone. Mr. Trevino stated the Planning Commission, at a public hearing held September 23, 1980, recommended approval of the Variance application as outlined in Planning Com- mission Resolution No. 965. Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve Planning Commission Resolution No. 965, together with findings as listed therein. Vote was unanimous. Variances P.C. Res . No. 966 Mr. Trevino read his memorandum dated September 24, 1980, concerning a Variance ap- plication requested by Mr. & Mrs. Raymond Perez, for reduction of the required rear yard setback from fifteen feet to ten feet for a new dwelling, 95 feet in width by 50 feet in depth, on property located at 415 West E Street, in an R-3 zone. Mr. Trevino advised that the Planning Commission recommended approval of the Variance application, at a public hearing held September 23, 1980, and adopted Planning Com- mission Resolution No. 966. Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve Planning Com- mission Resolution No. 966, together with findings as listed therein. Unanimous vote. COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Community Services Director of Community Services Wang requested that the item concerning installation of off-site improvements, curb, gutter and sidewalk along Congress Street, be removed from the Agenda at this time.
