Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Committees <br />Mayor Huntoon stated that peoples names are still being submitted <br />for the Centennial Committee, therefore, this matter will be con- <br />tinued to a later date. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Appeals <br />Adams Advertising; Inc. <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Continuance of Public Hearing. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Notice of Posting Continuance and re- <br />ported that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Planning Director Aguilera referred to his Staff Report concerning an <br />Appeal filed by Adams Advertising Inc., for Bernard Witt, on Planning <br />Commission Resolution No. 2068, denying Variance application to allow <br />a billboard sign within 500 feet of a freeway right-of-way and allow <br />an increase in the allowable number of square feet. <br />Mr. Aguilera advised the Planning Commission reviewed this matter on <br />January 14, 1986, and denied the applicant's request for a Variance, <br />as outlined in Planning Commission Resolution No. 2068. <br />Mr. Aguilera concluded if Council concurs with the Planning Commission <br />recommendation, it would be in order to adopt Resolution No. R-18-86; <br />however, if the Council desires to approve the Appeal, Staff will pre- <br />pare the proper resolution, with findings, for the next regular Council Y` <br />meeting. <br />Mayor Huntoon asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Mr. Robert D. Coviello, Attorney, 600 West Santa Ana Boulevard, Santa <br />Ana, stated he was representing Adams Advertising, Inc., regarding an <br />appeal filed on Planning Commission Resolution No. 2086 for a Variance <br />to permit and approve a billboard sign presently located at 290 De - <br />11 11 <br />A 0. * <br />
