R-161-86 & R-162-86 <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Community Development Director Aguilera reported from a memorandum sub- <br />mitted by City Clerk Ramos on the condemnation and demolition expense <br />for the structure located at 1597 North Mt. Vernon Avenue, pursuant to <br />Chapter 9 of the Uniform Building Code and Ordinance No. 1672. <br />Mr. Aguilera advised in order to complete the proceedings, there are <br />two resolutions for consideration and approval, one confirming the Ex- <br />pense Report of the Building Official and assessment of charges against <br />real properties, and the other authorizing payment of assessments by in- <br />stallments. Mr. Aguilera concluded if Council concurs, it would be in <br />order to approve Resolution Nos. R-161-86 and R-162-86. <br />O Mayor Huntoon asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />LO Upon no one stepping forward, on motion of Councilman Rios, seconded by <br />Q Councilman Rehrer, the Public Hearing was terminated. R-161-86 - RESOLUTION APPROVING AND CONFIRMING REPORT OF <br />COLTON BUILDING OFFICIAL FILED PURSUANT TO <br />CHAPTER 9 OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, ORDI- <br />NANCE NO. 1672 OF THE CITY OF COLTON, AND THE <br />ASSESSMENTS OF CHARGES AGAINST REAL PROPERTY <br />IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH. <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-162-86 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON DETERMINING AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />PAYMENT OF ASSESSMENT BY INSTALLMENTS. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Rent Stabilization Measure <br />City Manager Benest requested direction from the City Council on the Rent <br />Stabilization Measure, should it pass at this election. Mr. Benest ad- <br />vised that he and the City Attorney have been reviewing this matter and <br />the necessary steps that will have to be taken should the measure be <br />voted in. <br />After discussion, on Council consensus, Staff was directed to proceed <br />with the details concerning the Rent Stabilization Measure as outlined. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Ordinance No. 0-15-86 <br />Second Reading <br />e. <br />City Attorney Edwards introduced Ordinance No. 0-15-86 for Second Read- <br />ing, reading it as to number and title only: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-15-86 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING <br />(Second Reading) CHAPTER 3.28 OF TITLE 3 OF THE COLTON MUNICI- <br />PAL CODE TO GRANT CREDITS AGAINST SALES AND <br />USE TAXES OWED TO THE CITY OF COLTON IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF SALES AND USE TAXES PAID, IF ANY, <br />TO THE COLTON REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to pass Second <br />Reading and adopt Ordinance No. 0-15-86.
