Mrs. Dustin stated she was advised <br />by mail that the Claim had been denied, and she did not feel that this <br />matter had been handled properly. <br />City Clerk Helen Ramos then outlined the procedures one follows in <br />filing a liability claim against the City, and how it is handled by <br />the City's insurance administrators. <br />Mrs. Dustin stated she was not satisfied with this procedure and she <br />would pursue this matter in court. <br />Ms. Hillary Willett, 1891 South Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, stated <br />they will seek Court action to invalidate the Mobile Home Rent Stabili- <br />zation Ordinance. <br />RRrRGq <br />The City Council recessed at 8:55 p. m., to take up the business of the <br />Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton, and reconvened at 9:03 p.m., <br />all Members present. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Closed Session at 9:04 p. m., to discuss <br />Labor Relation Matters, pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6; <br />Personnel Matters, pursuant to Government Code Section 54957; and <br />Potential Litigation, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(b)(1), <br />and reconvened at 10:00 p. m., all Members present. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Lofy and unani- <br />mously passed, Mayor Gonzales adjourned the Meeting at 10:00 p. m., to <br />meet for an Adjourned Regular Meeting on Tuesday, October 3, 1989, at <br />7:00 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall. <br />2��a - `7��;-r2_,2X_) <br />HELEN A. Also present were City Manager Keane, City Attorney Edwards, <br />and City Clerk Ramos. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Resolution of Recognition - Mrs. Dolores Nieves <br />Councilman Max Lofy stated the City of Colton is here this evening to <br />honor Mrs. Dolores Nieves, who celebrated her 104th birthday on June 28, <br />1989. Mr. Lofy stated that Mrs. Nieves was born in Cananea, Sonora, <br />Mexico, married when she was 14 years of age, and came to Colton in <br />1922 with her husband, Lucas, who later worked at the Colton Cement <br />0 CT 3 1989 <br />
