(Removed from the Consent Calendar) <br />(18) Administrative Policies <br />Modification to City's Per Diem Policy/Procedure. (Removed from <br />the Consent Calendar) <br />(19) Personnel <br />Resolution authorizing the City Manager to Modify Method of <br />Salary and Benefits Payment for Retiring City Employees, RESO- <br />LUTION NO. R-118-89. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve <br />the Consent Calendar, with deletion of Item Nos. 17 and 18. Vote was <br />unanimous. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />League of California Cities <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, appoint- <br />ing Mayor Gonzales as Voting Delegate and Mayor Pro Tem Rios as Alternate <br />for Annual League of California Cities Conference in San Francisco, <br />October 22 through 25, 1989. Unanimous vote. <br />Resolution <br />Mayor Gonzales read a Resolution designating the week of October 8 <br />through 14, 1989, as PUBLIC POWER WEEK. The Resolution was accepted <br />by Gale Drews, Electric Utility Director. <br />Resolution No. R-119-89 <br />Councilwoman Cisneros reported on a proposed Resolution, urging Governor <br />Deukmejian to restore the funding for Family Planning Clinics in San <br />Bernardino County. Mrs. Cisneros stated that a copy of the Resolution <br />will be sent to our State legislators, within the City of Colton Dis- <br />tricts. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Lofy, to approve <br />Resolution No. R-119-89. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-119-89 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />COLTON URGING THE RESTORATION OF FUNDS FOR <br />FAMILY PLANNING CLINICS. <br />Resolution of Recognition <br />Councilwoman Cisneros read in full a Resolution of Recognition, honoring <br />and giving special recognition to Firefighter/Paramedic Robert Mapstead <br />for his great accomplishments at the 1989 World Games and Competitions <br />held in Vancouver, Canada from July 29 through August 5, 1989. <br />The Resolution was accepted by Mr. Mapstead, who thanked everyone, es- <br />pecially the Firefighters Local 935, making it possible for him to at- <br />tend these Games through their funding. <br />Resolution of Recognition <br />Councilman Lofy read in full a Resolution of Recognition, honoring Fire- <br />fighter/Paramedic Ron Wolfley for his accomplishments at the 1989 World <br />Games and Competitions in Vancouver, Canada.
