f7� <br />Resolutions <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a Resolution of Commendation honoring Fire- <br />fighter/Paramedic Chris Walters, who was awarded the Bronze Medal on <br />February 26, 1990, in the Skiing Slalom sponsored by the California <br />Firemen's Athletic Association, Inc., at Mammoth Mountain, California. <br />The Resolution was accepted by Chris Walters. <br />Boards & Commissions <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, ratifying <br />appointment of Larry Dylina to the Cemetery Commission. Unanimous vote. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Street Vacations <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Public Works Director John Hutton reported on the vacation of Iron Horse <br />Drive and Golden Spike Drive, which was requested by the Iron Horse <br />Ridge Community Association, to provide better security for the devel- <br />opment. The vacation was reviewed by the Planning Commission and recom- <br />mended for approval with certain conditions and reservations, which were <br />reviewed by the City Council at a previous meeting. These conditions <br />and reservations were made a part of Resolution No. R-25-90. <br />Mr. Hutton concluded at the end of the Public Hearing, if there are not <br />sufficient protests to this vacation, Staff would recommend approval of <br />the street vacations with the recommended conditions and reservations <br />as outlined in Resolution No. R-25-90. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to close the <br />Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Lofy, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve <br />Staff's recommendation and Resolution No. R-25-90.
