ADJOURNED CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 13, 1990 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular <br />Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date at 5:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor <br />Gonzales presiding. <br />V nT_T_ r A T_T_ <br />Council Members present were Rios, Cisneros, Rehrer, Lofy, and Mayor <br />Gonzales. Also present were City Manager Keane, City Attorney Edwards, <br />and City Clerk Ramos. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Inland Valley Development Agency <br />City Manager Leslie Keane stated the Council Members have before them <br />an amendment to the Joint Powers Agreement with the Inland Valley De- <br />velopment Agency, which contains various changes and clarification of <br />the language within the document. Ms. Keane then reviewed the changes <br />and amendments to the Agreement. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve <br />amendment to the Joint Powers Agreement with the Inland Valley Develop- <br />ment Agency. Unanimous vote. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Mr. Bob Adams, Adams Advertising, Inc., 19081 Rocky Road, Santa Ana, <br />spoke to the Council Members regarding their sign located south of <br />Barton Road, near Interstate 215. Mr. Adams reiterated the litigation <br />they had been through because of erecting the sign without permits, <br />which has now been terminated. Mr. Adams outlined a proposal for the <br />City of Colton which would, in part, allow the City free use of the <br />reverse side of the billboard sign, plus an annual monetary fee to be <br />paid to the City in return for permission to keep the sign in place, as <br />long as they adhere to conditions and requirements of a Conditional Use <br />Permit and other pertinent factors. <br />Mr. Adams was instructed to get in touch with Community Development <br />Director Jaime Aguilera regarding this matter. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Closed Session at 5:25 p. m., to discuss <br />Labor Relation Matters, pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6, <br />and reconvened at 6:25 p. m., all Members present. <br />1 <br />'FEB 1 3 199q <br />
