Discussion followed with regard to inoperable vs operable vehicles
parked on the street for long periods of time. Director Aguilera said
the law for inoperable vehicles is remove or repair within one month
and operable vehicles on the street cannot be cited.
Director Aguilera reported there is one additional amendment being
recommended and that is to allow cemetery use in a residential zone
with a Conditional Use Permit. This will put Montecito Cemetery in
compliance.
Director Aguilera concluded stating he will seek legal opinion with
regards to the sign grandfather issue, if this is possible, staff
will proceed with the hearing process for adoption of the revised
zoning ordinances. If legal counsel rules that grandfathering is not
possible, staff will schedule a study session for the next meeting.
The City Council was in agreement.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business to come before the City Council
at this time, on motion of Councilmember Roman, seconded by Council -
member Lofy and unanimously passed, Mayor Gonzales adjourned the
meeting at 7:25 p.m.
i /I P g - -A -Ia2"
HELEN A.
