(13) Award of Contract/Poma Distributing Company — Approved Request to Award Contract <br />to Purchase Gasoline and Diesel Fuel as needed from Poma Distributing Company <br />Through August 31, 2010. <br />(14) Award of Bid/Wesco Distribution — Approved Award of Bid for Annual Purchase of <br />Medium Voltage Underground Distribution Cable to Wesco Distribution for one Twelve <br />Month Period, with the Option to Renew for Three Additional One -Year Periods, for a <br />Minimum Amount of $73,458.56 up to a Maximum Amount of $217,870.50, plus <br />Escalation/De-Escalation Based on the COMEX Closing Price for Aluminum and Copper <br />on the Date of Shipment. <br />(15) NUMBER NOT USED <br />(16) Negative Declaration — Approved Request to Adopt the Negative Declaration, Approve <br />the Project for the Construction, Drilling and Equipping Wells 30 and 31 at the Congress <br />Street Site APN 0163-232-01. <br />STAFF REPORTS: <br />WATERNVASTEWATER DIRECTOR'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Information Report — Update on Perchlorate in City's Wells with Reference to Recent Adoption <br />of a MCL (Maximum Contaminate Level) by the State of California. <br />Water/Waster Water Director Fraser gave a brief informational report of the perchlorate in the <br />City's Wells. <br />Discussion continued with Council acknowledging staff on the work that has been completed <br />and questioned possible additional funds to improve water quality. Staff responded. <br />Motion/second by CM Mitchell/Yzaguirre receive and file the reports following a request for <br />public input, with the understanding that by doing so the City Council was affirming staff <br />intention to continue well head treatment operations as described in the reports. Motion carried <br />with CM De La Rosa absent. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />At 9:48 p.m., Mayor Chastain declared the Regular Meeting adjourned. <br />- Carolina R.
