Padilla, City Clerk <br />Mayor Chastain asked the assembly to observe a moment of silence in memory of Mrs. <br />Hortencia Abril who recently passed away and asked that the Council meeting adjourn in her <br />memory. <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS: <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />Presentation Community Services Director Smith presented an overview of the <br />process of the Parks & Recreation Foundation Logo Contest and <br />introduced the winner Thomas Robles whom he presented with a plaque <br />and $100. <br />Presentation Community Services Director Smith introduced and acknowledged Joe <br />Ramos, Member of Grand Terrace Toastmasters #290 for their <br />participation in the Adopt a Trail Program for the Santa Ana River Trail. <br />Proclamation CM Toro read and presented to General Manager Olko in honor of Public <br />Power Week. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF <br />OCTOBER 7, 2008. <br />Mayor Chastain asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict <br />of interest pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030.
