• Community Centers Halloween <br />events <br />• Hutton/Luque Center Thanksgiving <br />Dinners <br />• Safety electric Open House <br />• PAL Golf Tournament <br />• Colton Community clean-up day <br />Rancho Mediterrania Mobilehome Estates <br />• Boy Scouts of America Recognition <br />• Acknowledged Daryl Parrish <br />birthday <br />This Was The Time And Place Fixed To Consider The Continued Public Hearing Of October 7, <br />2008, A Resolution Of The City Council Of The City Of Colton, California, Vacating Any Interest <br />It May Have -in The Streets Located Within The Rancho Mediterrania Mobilehome Estates. <br />Mayor Chastain declared the public hearing open. <br />City Clerk Padilla announced that the Notice of Continuance was on file in the City Clerk's office <br />and no protests or objections have been received. <br />Economic Development Director Cassel presented a synopsis the agenda report and requested <br />approval of staff's recommendation. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />The following citizens addressed the council: <br />Gary Schafer spoke against the item <br />Kathy Davis, spoke against the item <br />Robert Cook, spoke against the item <br />Patricia Pierce, spoke against the item <br />Motion/second by Mayor Pro Tempore Mitchell/CM Yzaguirre to close the public hearing. <br />Motion carried with CM De La Rosa and CM Suchil absent. <br />Motion/second by Mayor Pro Tempore Mitchell/CM Toro to approve and adopt Resolution No. <br />R-1 12-08. Motion carried with CM De La Rosa and CM Suchil absent. <br />CITY MANAGER ORAL REPORTS: <br />City Manager Parrish addressed concerns expressed by Mr. Espudo who is a Utilities <br />Commissioner regarding the single audit and year end closing of books. The response to <br />question on the timing is that a standard audit is done in November and needs to be completed <br />in December 31st. Rate study discussion regarding theory on delay in rate increases until after <br />election; the response is that analysis is not finished, market is complex and uncertain. <br />2008 OCT 21 REG CC/RDA/CUA MEETING -4- <br />
