CITY OF COLTON <br />COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY <br />SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES <br />JUNE 18, 2008 <br />A Special Meeting of the City Council/Redevelopment Agency/Colton Utility Authority of <br />the City of Colton was held at 6:13 p.m., on the above -given date in the Ashley <br />Furniture Meeting Room, 1601 Ashley Way, Colton, CA, Colton, California Mayor <br />Chastain presiding. Notice of Special Meeting was given on May 6, 2008, in compliance <br />with Government Code Section 54956. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Councilmembers present were, Mitchell, Oliva, Suchil, Toro (arrived at 6:20 p.m.), <br />Yzaguirre (arrived at 6:29 p.m.), and Mayor Chastain. Also present were City Manager <br />Parrish, City Attorney Trask, and Chief Deputy City Clerk Flores. Absent: CM De La <br />Rosa. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />The following citizens addressed the council: None <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF JUNE 18, 2008. <br />Mayor Chastain asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a <br />conflict of interest pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Said Special Meeting shall be for the purpose of studying and or taking action on the <br />following matters: <br />Council Norms, Policies, and Ethics Study Session 2. <br />The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Bill Mathis and his associate Janice Mathis. Dr. <br />Mathis explained the process and planning of topics to be discussed at this workshop <br />as follows: <br />General <br />Council Values <br />Council interaction and Communication <br />Council Interaction and Communication with Staff <br />• City Manager <br />• Staff in General <br />• City Attorney <br />2008 JUNE 18 SPC CC/RDA/CUA MEETING - 1 - <br />
