CEREMONIAL MATTERS: <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />Proclamation Mayor Chastain read and presented a proclamation to the Woman of the <br />Year recipient, Laura Morales, Chamber of Commerce Executive Director <br />Manuel Carrillo, Representative from Gloria Negrete-McLeod read and <br />presented a State Resolution commemorating the Woman of the Year <br />recipient to Laura Morales. <br />Presentation Mayor Chastain introduced Ronnie Garcia, BNSF Safety Manager who <br />introduced Pete Aadland, State Coordinator California Operation Lifesaver <br />who provided a brief overview on Rail Safety Month, CM Toro read and <br />presented to Ronnie Garcia. <br />Proclamation CM Oliva read and presented to Ruth Martinez, Library Manager a <br />proclamation regarding "National Library Week <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF <br />APRIL 7, 2009. <br />Mayor Chastain asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict of <br />interest pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. <br />AB 1234 ORAL REPORTS: <br />Mayor Chastain asked the members present if there were any brief reports on meetings attended <br />at the expense of the city. (GC Section 53232.3(d)) None by members present. <br />CM Perez attended City/County Conference, March 26 & 27 th in Lake Arrowhead. <br />Mayor Pro Tempore Oliva attended AQMD update in Diamond Bar. <br />Mayor Chastain attended AWMD update in Diamond Bar. <br />APPOINTMENTS: <br />City Commissions & Committees; Regional Boards & Committees <br />District 6 - CM Perez presented for ratification the appointment of Lisa Rudh to the Code Enforcement <br />Commission. <br />Motion and second CM De La Rosa/Mayor Pro Tempore Oliva to ratify the appointment of Lisa <br />Rudh.
