CITY OF COLTON ADJOURNED REGULAR AND SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY MEETING MINUTES APRIL 25, 2009 An Adjourned Regular and Special Meeting of the City Council/Redevelopment Agency/Colton Utility Authority of the City of Colton was held at 9:11 a.m., on the above -given date in the City of Colton Council Chambers, 650 N. La Cadena Drive, Colton, CA 92324 with Mayor Chastain presiding. Notice of Adjourned and Special Meeting was given on April 23, 2009, in compliance with Government Code Section 54956. CITY COUNCIL ROLL CALL Councilmembers present were, CM Toro, De La Rosa, Yzaguirre, Bennett and Perez, Mayor Pro Tempore Oliva and Mayor Chastain. Also present City Manager Parrish, City Attorney Martinez and City Clerk Gomez. PUBLIC COMMENT: The following citizens addressed the council: Margaret Hemminger, Estelle Kunter, Tom Ramsey, Fred Cordova, Apolinar Espudo, Gary Grossich, Paul Rosso, Kathy Davis, Mike Williams, and Frank Gonzales. MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS• Said Adjourned and Special Meeting shall be for the purpose of studying and or taking action on the following matters: Water Rates and Discussion of Water Facilities Budget Water/WasteWater Director Fraser Provided a PowerPoint overview of the agenda item and requested approval of staff's recommendation. Mayor Chastain opened for roundtable discussion. Discussion continued by members present Motion/second by CM Yzaguirre/CM Perez to approve staff recommendation. Motion failed with CM Yzaguirre/Perez/Mayor Chastain voting "YES" and CM Toro/De La Rosa/Bennett/Mayor Pro Tempore Oliva voting "NO". Secondary Motion Motion/second by Mayor Pro Tempore Oliva/CM Toro to continue to Adjourned Meeting on Thursday, April 30, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. and contact Dr. Mathis and Bargaining Units to attend..
