ORDINANCE NO, 230 An ordinance requiring cut offs to be ulaoed in all taps to the City Wa- ter System. The Board of Trustees of the Citv of Colton do ordain as follows: Section I. That. after the pae=aLe of this ordinance it shall be uniawf'ul to tap the City water mains and take I coater for domestic use or for irriva• tion purposes, wits out placing a proper cut off in the line so taping said water mains, and placing said cat off in the lines manner herein de- scribed. Section 11. That all persons who are now connected with the City wa. ter system shall within Sixty days af- ter the passage of this ordinance pla,,e a proper out off in their lines so connected with the Citv water system, and place the same as in this ordi- nance designated. Section III. That all out offs shall be placed at the property line when the taps are made to a line in the al- ley, and shall be placed just inside the curb when the tap is made on a street line, and in all other cases at the Property line Section 4 'That said tap shall be placed in an iron box, covered and that the top of the valve or turn off lin the out off shall have a three gaarter inch square top Sectior 5, A failure to comply with the terms of this ordinance shall be a misdemanor and may ba punished by a fine not exceeding ten dollars, cr the Nater Superintendent may shut off the water from any one failing to comply berewith, and not turn the same on again' until the terms cf this ordinance ero complied with.
