ORDINANCE NO, 230 <br />An ordinance requiring cut offs to <br />be ulaoed in all taps to the City Wa- <br />ter System. <br />The Board of Trustees of the Citv of <br />Colton do ordain as follows: <br />Section I. That. after the pae=aLe <br />of this ordinance it shall be uniawf'ul <br />to tap the City water mains and take I <br />coater for domestic use or for irriva• <br />tion purposes, wits out placing a <br />proper cut off in the line so taping <br />said water mains, and placing said <br />cat off in the lines manner herein de- <br />scribed. <br />Section 11. That all persons who <br />are now connected with the City wa. <br />ter system shall within Sixty days af- <br />ter the passage of this ordinance <br />pla,,e a proper out off in their lines so <br />connected with the Citv water system, <br />and place the same as in this ordi- <br />nance designated. <br />Section III. That all out offs shall <br />be placed at the property line when <br />the taps are made to a line in the al- <br />ley, and shall be placed just inside <br />the curb when the tap is made on a <br />street line, and in all other cases at <br />the Property line <br />Section 4 'That said tap shall be <br />placed in an iron box, covered and <br />that the top of the valve or turn off <br />lin the out off shall have a three <br />gaarter inch square top <br />Sectior 5, A failure to comply <br />with the terms of this ordinance shall <br />be a misdemanor and may ba punished <br />by a fine not exceeding ten dollars, cr <br />the Nater Superintendent may shut <br />off the water from any one failing to <br />comply berewith, and not turn the <br />same on again' until the terms cf <br />this ordinance ero complied with. <br />JaR.
