<br />mentioned he was a citizen of the United States,
<br />over the age of 21 nears, and resident of said county,
<br />and was at and during all said times the printer and
<br />publisher of The Colton Chronicle, a newspaper of gen-
<br />eral circulation, printed and published semi-weekly in
<br />the City of Colton, in said County of San Bernardino,
<br />State of California, that said Colton Chronicle is and
<br />was at all times herein mentioned, a newspaper of
<br />general circulation. as that term is defined by the
<br />Political Code, and, as provided by said Code, is
<br />published for the dissemination of local or telegraphic
<br />news and intelligence of a general character, having
<br />a bonafcde subscription list of paying subscribers,
<br />that at all said times a newspaper has been estab-
<br />lished, printed and published in the said Cita of Col-
<br />ton, in said County and State at regular intervals for
<br />more than one year preceding the first publication
<br />of the notice herein mentioned; that the
<br />of which the annexed is a printed copy, was published

<br />ORDINANCE NO. 270
<br />+An ordinance fixing the neces
<br />sary amount of money to be
<br />raised by taxation of the tax—
<br />able property of the city of
<br />Colton as a revenue to carry
<br />on the various departments
<br />of the municipal government
<br />of the city, for the current
<br />year, and to pay the principal
<br />and interest due and coming
<br />due upon the bonded Indebt-
<br />edness of said city.

<br />Section 1. The board of Trustees o
<br />the City of Cclton do ordain as follows : I
<br />That the amount. of money nece,sary
<br />to be raised by taxation upon the tax
<br />able property within the corporate
<br />limits of the City of Colton, as a reve-
<br />nue to carry on the various depart-
<br />ments of said municipal corporation
<br />for the current fiscal year, not to
<br />exceed the limit fixed by law, and to
<br />pay the bonded indebtedness or other
<br />indebtedness of such municipal corpo-
<br />ration or city, is hereby determined
<br />and fixed as follows, to wit:
<br />(a) The amount of money necessary
<br />to be raised for the general fund,
<br />which shall include the street funds,
<br />$12,310.00.
<br />(b) The amount of money necessary
<br />to be raised for the library fund,
<br />$2,092.70.
<br />(c) The amount cf money necessary
<br />to be raised for the municipal water
<br />works improvement bonded indebted-
<br />ness, first , series $3,856,00, second
<br />series $1,325.00, Total $5,181.00.
<br />(d) The amount of money necessary
<br />to be raised for the electric light im-
<br />provement bonded indebtedness,
<br />$370,50
<br />(e) The amount of money necessary
<br />to be raiseed for the refunding bonded
<br />indebtedness, $280.00.
<br />(f) The amount of money necessary
<br />to be raised for the municipal improve-
<br />ruent sewer bonded indebtedness,
<br />$5,050.
<br />Sec. 2, The City Clerk shall certify to
<br />the passage of this ordinance and cause
<br />the same to be published once in the
<br />Colton Chronicle, and it shall take
<br />effect and be in force from and after
<br />its adoption and publication.
