The undersigned being first duly sworn, deposes and says: That at all times hereinafter mentioned she was a citizen of the United States over the age of eighteen years, and a resident of said county and was at and during all said times the principal clerk or the printer and publisher of the Col- ton Daily Courier, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and pub- lished six times per week in the City of Colton, in said County of San Ber- nardino, State of California; that said Colton Daily Courier is and was at all times herein mentioned a newspaper of general circulation as that term is defined by section 4460 of the Politi- cal Code, and, as provided by said section, is published for the dissemi- nation of local and telegraphic news and intelligence of a general charac- ter, having a bona fide subscription list of paying subscribers; that at all times said newspaper has been estab- lished, printed and published in the said city of Colton, in said county and state at regular intervals for more than one year preceding the first pub- lication of the advertisement herein mentioned; that said advertisement was set in type not smaller than non- pariel and was preceded printed in black faced type not smaller than nonpariel, describing and ex- pressing in general terms, the pur- port and character of the notice in- tended to be given; that the of which the annexed is a printed copy, was published and printed in said newspaper l Jj /' `/3, Subscribed and sworn to before me this... day of 1913 ................. Notary Public in and for San Bernar- dino County, California. ORDINANCE NO. 308 An Ordinance of the City of Colton Fixing the Tax Rate for the Fiscal Year of 1913-14. The Board of Trustees of the City of Colton do ordain as follows; - Section 1 That the rate of taxation upon all the taxable property of the City of Colton for the fiscal year of 1913- 1914 shall be: Bond fund 40 cents, gen- eral fund 40 cents library fund 10 cents total 90 cents on each one hundred dollars of the assessed value of all the taxable property in said city, and that the Board of Trustees of said city shall levy and collect taxes upon all the assessed property of said city at said rate, for the purpose of raising revenue for municipal affairs and to pay the bonded indebtedness becom- ing due during said fiscal year.
