The undersigned being first duly sworn, deposes and says: That at all times hereinafter mentioned she was a citizen of the United States over the age of eighteen years, and a resident of said county and was at and during all said times the principal clerk or the printer and publisher of the Col- ton Daily Courier, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and p�vb- lished six times per week in the Citv of Colton, in said County of San Ber- nardino, State of California; that said Colton Daily Courier is and was at all times herein mentioned a newspaper of general circulation as that term is defined by section 4460 of the Politi- cal Code, and, as provided by said section, is published for the dissemi- nation of local and telegraphic news and intelligence of a general charac- ter, having a bona fide subscription list of paying subscribers; that at all times said newspaper has been estab- lished, printed and published in the said city of Colton, in said county and state at regular intervals for more than one year preceding the first pub- lication of the advertisement herein mentioned; that said advertisement was set in type not smaller than non- pariel and was preceded with words faced type not smaller escrtbtng and ex- pressing in general terms, the pur- port and character of the notice in- tended to be given; that the of which the annexed is a printed copy, was published and printed in said newspaper __ —A-,cJ,-1.7, /y/3 Subscribed and sworn to before me w this . .. .... ....... day of .C.tN, 1913 Notary Public in and for San Bernar- dino County, California. ORDINANCE NO. 3W An Ordinance Declaring the Inten- tion of the Board of Trustees of the City of Colton to Chane and Establish the Grade of H Street From the West Curb Line of Seventh Street to the East Curb Line of Ninth Street. Section I The Board of Trustees of the City of Colton do ordain as follo:: s: That it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of Col- ton to change and establish the grade of H street in the City of Colton from the west curb line of Seventh street to the east curb line of Ninth street in accordance with the follow- ing grades and elevations: At the northeast curb corner of the intersection of Seventh street and H street the grade shall be 982.3 feet. At the northwest curb corn,�r of the intersection of Seventh stre t and H street the grade shall be 982.3 feet. At the southeast curb corner of the intersection of Seventh street and H street the grade shall be 981.7 feet. At the southwest curb corner of the intersection of Seventh street and H street the grade shall be 981.7 feet. At the northeast curb corner of the intersection of Eighth street a;id H street the grade shall be 983.0 f. -et. At the northwest curb corner of the intersection of Eighth stre(t and H street the grade shall be 983.3 feet. At the southeast curb corner of the intersection of Eighth street a:id H street the grade shall be 982.3 feet. At the southwest curb corner of the intersection of Eighth street and H 'street the grade shall be 982.7 feet. At the northeast curb corner of the intersection of Ninth street and H street the grade shall be 981.6 feet. At the northwest curb corner of the intersection of Ninth street and I1 street the grade shall be 982.0 feet. At the southeast curb corner of the intersection of Ninth street and 11 street the grade shall be 981.1 feet. At the southwest curb corner of th intersection of Ninth street and I - street the grade sliall be 981.5 feet. And at all points between said iesignated points the grade shall be >stablished so as to conform to a. straight line drawn between said des- .gnated points. Elevations refer to the top of the zurb and are in feet and decimals of a foot above a plane which is 978.771 feet below the plane containing the city bench mark as established by Ordinance No. 123 of the City of Col- ton. Section II The proceedings for the aforesaid change and establishment of grade shall be taken under the "Change of Grade Act of 1909." Section III The Street Superintendent shall post notice of the passage of this ordinance as in the manner provided by law, and shall cause a notice similar in substance to be published for six days in the Colton.. Daily Courier. . Section IV The City Clerk sliall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published for I two days in the Colton Daily Courier and shall post the same conspicuous- ly on or near the council chamber door and thereafter it sliall take ef- fect and be in force at the time and in the manner provided by law.
