In the Superior Court of the County <br />of San Bernardino, State of Cali- <br />fornia. <br />The undersigned being first duly <br />sworn, deposes and says: That at all <br />times hereinafter mentioned she was a <br />citizen of the United States over the <br />age of eighteen years, and a resident <br />of said county and was at and during <br />all said times the principal clerk or <br />the printer and publisher of the Col- <br />ton Daily Courier, a newspaper of <br />general circulation, printed and p�vb- <br />lished six times per week in the Citv <br />of Colton, in said County of San Ber- <br />nardino, State of California; that said <br />Colton Daily Courier is and was at all <br />times herein mentioned a newspaper <br />of general circulation as that term is <br />defined by section 4460 of the Politi- <br />cal Code, and, as provided by said <br />section, is published for the dissemi- <br />nation of local and telegraphic news <br />and intelligence of a general charac- <br />ter, having a bona fide subscription <br />list of paying subscribers; that at all <br />times said newspaper has been estab- <br />lished, printed and published in the <br />said city of Colton, in said county and <br />state at regular intervals for more <br />than one year preceding the first pub- <br />lication of the advertisement herein <br />mentioned; that said advertisement <br />was set in type not smaller than non- <br />pariel and was preceded with words <br />faced type not smaller <br />escrtbtng and ex- <br />pressing in general terms, the pur- <br />port and character of the notice in- <br />tended to be given; that the <br />of which the annexed is a printed <br />copy, was published and printed in <br />said newspaper __ <br />—A-,cJ,-1.7, /y/3 <br />Subscribed and sworn to before me <br />w <br />this . .. .... ....... day of <br />.C.tN, 1913 <br />Notary Public in and for San Bernar- <br />dino County, California. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3W <br />An Ordinance Declaring the Inten- <br />tion of the Board of Trustees of the <br />City of Colton to Chane and <br />Establish the Grade of H Street <br />From the West Curb Line of <br />Seventh Street to the East Curb <br />Line of Ninth Street. <br />Section I <br />The Board of Trustees of the City <br />of Colton do ordain as follo:: s: <br />That it is the intention of the <br />Board of Trustees of the City of Col- <br />ton to change and establish the grade <br />of H street in the City of Colton <br />from the west curb line of Seventh <br />street to the east curb line of Ninth <br />street in accordance with the follow- <br />ing grades and elevations: <br />At the northeast curb corner of the <br />intersection of Seventh street and H <br />street the grade shall be 982.3 feet. <br />At the northwest curb corn,�r of <br />the intersection of Seventh stre t and <br />H street the grade shall be 982.3 <br />feet. <br />At the southeast curb corner of <br />the intersection of Seventh street and <br />H street the grade shall be 981.7 feet. <br />At the southwest curb corner of the <br />intersection of Seventh street and H <br />street the grade shall be 981.7 feet. <br />At the northeast curb corner of the <br />intersection of Eighth street a;id H <br />street the grade shall be 983.0 f. -et. <br />At the northwest curb corner of <br />the intersection of Eighth stre(t and <br />H street the grade shall be 983.3 feet. <br />At the southeast curb corner of the <br />intersection of Eighth street a:id H <br />street the grade shall be 982.3 feet. <br />At the southwest curb corner of the <br />intersection of Eighth street and H <br />'street the grade shall be 982.7 feet. <br />At the northeast curb corner of the <br />intersection of Ninth street and H <br />street the grade shall be 981.6 feet. <br />At the northwest curb corner of the <br />intersection of Ninth street and I1 <br />street the grade shall be 982.0 feet. <br />At the southeast curb corner of the <br />intersection of Ninth street and 11 <br />street the grade shall be 981.1 feet. <br />At the southwest curb corner of th <br />intersection of Ninth street and I - <br />street the grade sliall be 981.5 feet. <br />And at all points between said <br />iesignated points the grade shall be <br />>stablished so as to conform to a. <br />straight line drawn between said des- <br />.gnated points. <br />Elevations refer to the top of the <br />zurb and are in feet and decimals of <br />a foot above a plane which is 978.771 <br />feet below the plane containing the <br />city bench mark as established by <br />Ordinance No. 123 of the City of Col- <br />ton. <br />Section II <br />The proceedings for the aforesaid <br />change and establishment of grade <br />shall be taken under the "Change of <br />Grade Act of 1909." <br />Section III <br />The Street Superintendent shall <br />post notice of the passage of this <br />ordinance as in the manner provided <br />by law, and shall cause a notice <br />similar in substance to be published <br />for six days in the Colton.. Daily <br />Courier. . <br />Section IV <br />The City Clerk sliall certify to the <br />passage of this ordinance and shall <br />cause the same to be published for I <br />two days in the Colton Daily Courier <br />and shall post the same conspicuous- <br />ly on or near the council chamber <br />door and thereafter it sliall take ef- <br />fect and be in force at the time and <br />in the manner provided by law. <br />P. REED, I <br />President of the Board of Trustees. <br />I hereby certify that the foregoing <br />ordinance was introduced and read at <br />a regular meeting of the Board of <br />Trustees held on the 18th day of <br />November, 1913, and was read and <br />adopted by said Board of Trustees at <br />a regular meeting held on the 25th <br />day of November, 1913, by the fol- <br />lowing vote: <br />Ayes: Trustees Riley, Culross, <br />Junod, Malone and Reed. <br />Noes: None. <br />Absent: None. <br />N.
